BURN

A celebration of small watercourses
John Wallace & Professor Pete Smith
Upland ~ Lowland ~ Urban ~ Coastal

BURN is a project to document and celebrate burns, streams, stanks and ‘ditches’ as the capillaries of the land and ecosystems we depend upon.

Field work, citizen science, location filming and public workshops will be ongoing throughout 2026 and early 2027.

The results will be used to create a touring audio-visual exhibition and educational programme starting summer 2027.

Look out for opportunities to take part on this page.
