Entropy Lure - installation at Sanctuary 2015

"Your one true broadcast..." A wee flavour of the Entropy Lure, as presented at Sanctuary Lab 2015 (www.sanctuary2015.org) in Galloway's Dark Skies Park, Scotland, 26/9/15. Created by artist John Wallace and professional thermographer Graham Rooney, the installation used two vintage Inframetrics 760 systems, plus a modern Flir 660 camera, to provide live video projections of Sanctuary punters - and whatever antics they were drawn to enact before the iridium coated lenses. With a live "Accidental Radio Waves" set by Thibault Autheman, re-used here by kind permission of the artist.

    Shore Story - Trailer

The netsmen of the inner Solway estuary fish with hand held viking 'haaf' nets and 'poke' and 'stake' nets fixed to the sea bed. The fishery once supported dozens of families. Today, a dwindling band of men keep the ancient skills alive. Follow their struggle against the elements in pursuit of their most prized catch - the North Atlantic salmon.
